In the 1980s, the business expanded to include the import of excavators, tractors, bulldozer, forklife and poclains for the agricultural and industrial sector. In 1988, Sahyouni for Trade & Transport also ventured into sea shipping, marking the beginning of its involvement in the maritime industry and here the company name was changed to become Sahyouni Trade & Transport.

By 1993, the company diversified further by entering the real estate sector, specifically focusing on construction and property development in Latakia, Syria. Simultaneously, it continued its growth in general trading, further solidifying its position in the market.

In 2002, Sahyouni secured local dealership agreements for the Volvo and Suzuki car brands, operating until 2011, when the ongoing war in Syria brought many business operations to a standstill. The company freeze the job and moved abroad to Turkey.
